Sky journalist confirms Ilicic interest and gives latest on Ibrahimovic and Calhanogu renewals

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are active on multiple fronts as they look to put the pieces in place for next season and a possible Champions League return.

Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti spoke during an editorial for TMW and confirmed that Milan are very busy on the renewal front, with three players set to expire at the end of the season in Gianluigi Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

There is optimism regarding the Swede as the talks are continuous, especially with the player, who is a leader at Milan and who wants to return to playing in the Champions League. Despite the fact he will turn 40 next season, he still feels like a central part of the project and this makes all the difference.

On the other hand, there is no substantial news regarding Calhanoglu’s situation and for this reason Milan are beginning to take precautionary measures. Josip Ilicic of Atalanta is followed with interest and despite having a contract with Atalanta until 2023, he could leave the Nerazzurri due to a poor relationship with Gasperini. The main obstacle is age, as he is 33 years old.

  1. Yesssss lets replace Calhanoglu with a 33 year old bench player, great business!!!!.

Pay Hakan what he deserves and stop being greedy, I dont want us going back to relying on just free transfers like we did in the past.
