Sky journalist suggests Milan are attentive to Vlahovic ‘opportunity’: “Open its eyes”

The striker situation at AC Milan is rather confusing. Despite having a fantastic option in the long term, there is no telling when it may be the current option, and so the situation must be constantly evaluated.

It could be argued that Milan need improvements across the pitch, whether it be to starters or to backup options. One of the areas that probably would not be contested though, is a striker.

Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham, despite occasionally getting themselves on the scoresheet, have not hit the levels hoped. Francesco Camarda, despite getting close on a few occasions, has not found himself on the scoresheet, though this is not a bad thing, so a question opens.

How do the Rossoneri move forward?

Abraham’s loan deal expires in the summer, and there are no guarantees about his future yet. This then leaves the club with two, Camarda and Morata – who are at the complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

Therefore, the Diavolo must assess who the middle ground will be, or when Camarda will become that. Because it is quite unknown, there have been suggestions that Milan will look to the mercato for some bolstering, and Sky journalist Peppe di Stefano made an intriguing suggestion when speaking to Carlo Pellegatti on YouTube (via Tuttojuve).

“It is neither a purchase nor a negotiation, but Vlahovic will expire in 2026 and AC Milan needs a striker. I am convinced that the club is starting to open its eyes to opportunities and chances that could open up.”

  1. Vlahovic has had a torrid time at Juventus. I doubt if he would be interested in extending his contract. Juventus, on the other hand, will not want to see him leave for nothing. So, they may be open to an offer for him in the summer. This should be of great interest to Milan.

  2. Vlahovic is ATROCIOUS making 12mil/year a Juve. You have to be the densest scout/manager to bring him in. The man absolutely can not play with his back to goal. His basic touches are garbage.
    DiStefano is smoking something. 😂

    1. I don’t know, salary a side, I still rate him as one of the best strikers in the world. He hasn’t done that badly at juve as a lot of people think, although he also hasn’t been great either. But he does have the technique and the physique, and with right coach and team behind him, he should still be worth 20 goals a season.

      1. You clearly haven’t watched any Juve games this season. He is awful. He can not play with his back to goal at all, and at top clubs that’s what you have to do as a top striker because the pressure us constant. He never had that at Fiorentina because he always faced goal and was significantly better.

      2. One of the best? Of we were brave to give Camarda time, he is better today my friend. Vlahovic is far from good, struggles for minutes in Serbian National Team.
