Ralf Rangnick is likely to be AC Milan’s next head coach and he will have full power in order to build his team, a journalist has claimed.

Rangnick’s words on Friday to German outlet Bild served as confirmation that there have indeed been talks with Milan as he failed to deny the possibility of a new adventure in Italy.

It was then confirmed by both Vito Angele and Louis Girardi that negotiations are at an advanced stage, with Rangnick ready to sign as long as certain conditions are met regarding his powers.

The 61-year-old has laid out a number of different demands and demands for if he were to accept a role at Milan, including total control over both tactics and player recruitment.

Journalist Manuele Baiocchini spoke to Sky Italia about the current situation regarding Rangnick’s reported move to Milan, and his words were transcribed by MilanNews.

“Yesterday Rangnick came out again in the open. From Milan only denials came for months, but the negotiation ended on December 23 with a handshake, then the Coronavirus got in the way and it slowed everything down,” he revealed.

“The parties are starting to feel again, there is a good chance that Rangnick well be the next Milan coach. At Milan then it would be all to be reviewed because Rangnick does not only coach teams but builds them.”
