Sky journalist: Kalulu still training with Milan – he ‘has not yet decided’ on Juventus move

Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano has confirmed that the Pierre Kalulu to Juventus deal is being held up by the player himself, who is not sure about leaving AC Milan.

Just when it looked as though Kalulu’s move to Juventus would be pushed through very quickly, there has been a slowdown in the negotiations. As we reported last night, there are some doubts on Milan’s end about the formula while the Frenchman is also taking time to make a decision.

It was even reported by Tuttosport this morning that the Bianconeri do not want to wait much longer for an answer from Kalulu and have set an ultimatum for a response. They expect to hear back from him by the end of the day or they may have to move on to other targets.

Di Stefano gave an update live on Sky regarding the Kalulu situation and he confirmed that the defender is not currently convinced about swapping red and black for black and white, with decisive hours ahead.

“The confirmation of news on hold, Milan and Juventus have closed for Kalulu, but he is not moving or at least has not yet decided his future,” he began (via Radio Rossonera).

“He continues to train with all the risks involved, because training exposes you to risks, but the player has not yet decided whether to leave Milan or accept Juventus’ offer, because he wants to understand well.

“[It is] Clear and evident for Milan he is a bit outside the technical logic and you can see it from the non-call-up in the Berlusconi Trophy, probably from the non-call-up for Torino, and from what we understand he is not within the plans of Paulo Fonseca.

“From Thiago Motta he had some reassurances, there was also a phone call. For him he would be both a central defender and a right-back.”
