Sky: Krunic will start alongside Tonali in Samp vs. Milan – Bennacer isn’t fully fit

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Sampdoria away from home tomorrow and they have been dealt a blow as Ismael Bennacer won’t make it from start. The Algerian will, therefore, be replaced by Rade Krunic.

The Rossoneri already have Franck Kessie on the injury list and this means that Krunic, who isn’t really a deep-lying midfielder, will have to play in the midfield tandem. This was reported by Sky Italia, as cited by FMCR on Twitter.

The reason behind this is Bennacer’s condition, who isn’t at match level yet due to the COVID-19 infection the midfielder had a few weeks back. As said, it’s a big blow for Milan as they already have Kessie sidelined.

Hopefully, Bennacer will be ready to play from the first minute against Cagliari. Either way, it has become very clear that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara need to bring in a midfielder before the transfer window closes.

  1. Krunic over Pobega??
Another brilliant choice from the genius pepioli. *Applause
Now please pass me the joint mister

  2. I begin to doubt that Pioli is gay. He loves Krunic and Castillejo no matter how bad they are. He plays these two loser players while he bench Hauge and Maldini, the two young promising talents! Pioli must be gay!

    1. there is no doubt about it
I’ve been saying it for a year now
      something is really fishy there
potentially that’s the reason why Hauge left (who is comfortably playing as a RW for Frankfurt now), because he didn’t put out

  4. Wow… we have Pobega who has been playing very solid already in preseason yet Pioli again goes with Krunic.. so Tonali will have absolutely no help today. Please play Pobega!!

  5. all hail lord Krunic!

by the end of the season we’ll have 3 persons with the same surname around the squad
Rade Pioli, Samu Pioli and Stefano Pioli

  6. Krunic cannot start, please for F*ck sake, play Pobega in his stead, can the transfer window end already, let’s know the players we have and the ones we don’t! These rumours are one too many….Castillejo and Krunic should find a new team, I would rather keep Conti than those two( glad Conti is going though) hehehe

  7. Milan in recent years has let go of many young home-made talents such as Aubameyang, Cristante, Locatelli, Pessina…They ended up being the stars at the other clubs. Instead of keep growing the young talents, Milan coaches prefer holding on to some older foreigner players who are under-average.

Another frustrating thing is Milan’s transfer pattern. Milan’s always dragging on with the buying new players until the transfer market is exhausted. While other big clubs fill their squads quickly and integrate them to their playing systems and get them ready before the new season starts.
