Sky: Krunic will start alongside Tonali in Samp vs. Milan – Bennacer isn’t fully fit

AC Milan will take on Sampdoria away from home tomorrow and they have been dealt a blow as Ismael Bennacer won’t make it from start. The Algerian will, therefore, be replaced by Rade Krunic.

The Rossoneri already have Franck Kessie on the injury list and this means that Krunic, who isn’t really a deep-lying midfielder, will have to play in the midfield tandem. This was reported by Sky Italia, as cited by FMCR on Twitter.

The reason behind this is Bennacer’s condition, who isn’t at match level yet due to the COVID-19 infection the midfielder had a few weeks back. As said, it’s a big blow for Milan as they already have Kessie sidelined.

Hopefully, Bennacer will be ready to play from the first minute against Cagliari. Either way, it has become very clear that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara need to bring in a midfielder before the transfer window closes.
