Sky: LaLiga midfielder to snub Milan and Arsenal in favour of joining best friend at Leipzig

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca as he prefers a move to Germany, a report claims.

MilanNews reported earlier last week there are many names that Milan are monitoring with regards to signings, with Espanyol’s deep-lying playmaker Roca mentioned in particular.

Mundo Deportivo (via MilanNews) then reported that Atletico Madrid are also in the running to land the 23-year-old, as well as Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal and Milan, with an asking price of around €15m set despite a release clause of €40m in his contract.

According to Sky in Germany (via FussballTransfers), the aforementioned five clubs are set to be disappointed as Roca has other ideas.

They claim that RB Leipzig have been offered the chance to sign Roca this summer, and that the player would like to move to Leipzig where he would join his best friend Dani Olmo, with the pair having played together for Spain at various junior levels.
