Sky: The latest details of the Milan sale, Giampaolo heading towards the Milan dugout

By Isak Möller -

The exclusive negotiation agreement between AC Milan and the Chinese group interested in acquiring a majority share in AC Milan expires at the end of the month. Berlusconi will have to take a decision over the future of the club by the 30th of June. A few days after that date, the club will also announce their manager for next season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Silvio Berlusconi wants to keep Cristian Brocchi, though Adriano Galliani is rumoured to have met Marco Giampaolo and Nicholas Gancikoff in Milan to sound out on the manager’s availability. Gancikoff is Sal Galatioto’s right hand man and could be the next club’s CEO if the Chinese consortium complete the club’s takeover.

If Giampaolo will be appointed as the rossoneri’s new coach, Empoli sporting director Marcello Carli might be appointed too and would be tasked with the job of assisting Galliani during the summer transfer window. Ariedo Braida, today at Barcelona, had covered a similar role at the club before.
