Sky journalist again claims Leao ‘could stay’ at Milan: “Excellent training sessions”

Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano has once again suggested that the chances of Rafael Leao remaining at AC Milan are rising.

For weeks now it has felt like a case of if Leao will leave Milan, but more a case of when and where he will go. However, the past few days have seen the winger join up with his team-mates out in Australia and what has filtered out from the camp showed very good spirits indeed.

Then, it was claimed by Sky earlier in the week that Leao remaining with the Rossoneri is not something that is out of the question. In fact, given that he is not willing to move to Turkey, it is a scenario that is becoming more and more likely as days and weeks pass.

Smiles into laughs

Peppe Di Stefano spoke live on Sky from Perth about Leao’s current situation on the day of his preseason debut in the draw against Inter, with his words relayed by MilanNews.

“Everything pointed to him leaving, but Leao’s mood in Perth has changed: the smiles have turned into laughter, the first sprints have turned into excellent training sessions,” he said.

“Leao says he’s enjoying Ruben Amorim’s very attacking 3-4-2-1. The feeling is that Rafa Leao could stay at Milan, but it’s not a certainty, it’s a concrete possibility that the club and the player are working on.

“If a €50m offer were to arrive from the Premier League, the management would say yes, but since there’s only Turkey involved, the scenario of him staying cannot be ruled out.”

  1. They can try to spin laughs and smiles all they want. The only reason Leao is still at Milan is due to lack of satisfactory offers.

  2. He always excellent with the training sessions but in the real games, he always lazy .. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

    1. Yeah, that “lazy” player was Milan’s top scorer last season, and guess what???…those goals were actually scored in REAL games, not training. Take away those pts he won us and guess what? No Europe this season! “lazy” Leao saved Milan numerous times….In real games too! Fancy that!??
