Sky: Leao likely to replace Ibrahimovic vs. Genoa – the latest on Calabria and Romagnoli

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Genoa this weekend and after what was a strong win away at Parma, three more points would do them good. However, they will be without their star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is suspended.

The 39-year-old was handed a red card by Fabio Maresca in the game against Parma and although the sporting judge limited the ban to one game, it’s still a blow. According to Sky Italia (via Calciomercato), Stefano Pioli has more or less decided the replacement.

Rafael Leao, who scored last time out, will get the chance up front while Ante Rebic could keep his spot on the left-wing. Mario Mandzukic is an option but he recently recovered from an injury and Pioli won’t take any risks.

The report also provided some updates on Davide Calabria and Alessio Romagnoli, who have been out for quite some time. The latter is back in training and has fully recovered, while the right-back has started running again and is doing very well.
