It appears as though the fears of fatigue hitting Rafael Leao have been realised as the forward may not start for AC Milan against Atletico Madrid.
According to what Manuele Baiocchini told Sky (via MilanNews), Leao is not in great shape and therefore his starting spot in tomorrow night’s match against Atletico is in doubt. The Portuguese winger did an individual training session this morning before joining the group.
Tomorrow he and head coach Stefano Pioli will decide together whether to keep him as a starter in his plans or whether he will actually begin the game on the bench and use him as an impact substitute.
It is worth remembering that Leao worked overtime prior to the international break when Rebic was out injured and the Croatian has now picked up another muscle problem which means he will probably miss the rest of the calendar year, so some rest may do Leao good.
Let’s focus to be best third for UEFA cup
Really? Do you know how much Europa drains the team? UCL 2021 is a lost cause. Milan can’t return to the competition and win it on the first year. Série A should be the objective. Win Série A and return to UCL next season as Italian champions, bigger and better.
Rebic is out so if not Leao then Maldini. But in all this i dont see any replacement name.
