Emerson Royal has agreed to join Flamengo and AC Milan have also reached an agreement with the Brazilian side. As a report claims, the medical tests have been scheduled for today.
The Milan right-back looked set to join the Turkish side Besiktas on loan with an option to buy, but then at the last second, Flamengo hijacked the deal. Putting a permanent deal on the table for the Rossoneri, as well as enticing the player more, they won the race.

Details of the move
According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the Brazilian side will pay €9m plus an additional €1m in bonuses. The medical tests have been scheduled for today and as a result, the move could soon be made official, provided Emerson Royal passes all the tests.
Milan paid €15m to Tottenham for the right-back just one year ago, so they will make a small loss on the player based on the reported figures. However, they will also save quite a lot in wages, as the player earns around €4.62m gross per season.
Furthermore, Emerson Royal wasn’t exactly part of Max Allegri’s plans for this season, so parting ways was a must. It’s certainly better to do so on a permanent basis rather than a loan, so Flamengo’s hijack was super positive for the Rossoneri.
