Sky: Milan ahead of Roma in pursuit of Wolves winger as Pioli gives approval

AC Milan remain ahead of Roma in the race for Adama Traoré who could join on a free transfer once his deal with Wolves expires, a report claims.

According to Sky, Traore is one of the profiles Milan have been working on in the last few hours as they look to reinforce a problematic right wing department ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Spaniard as mentioned could come on a free given that Wolves will not extend his deal which has just expired, and he is also liked by Roma, but at the moment the Rossoneri are ahead.

The 27-year-old would prefer to play in the Champions League next season. Head coach Stefano Pioli has already given the go-ahead for his potential arrival, given that he considers Traoré a useful element both for the right wing and possibly the left too.

Traore managed just two goals and one assist in 34 league games for Wolves last season, with his best return being the four goals and nine assists in 37 games he got back in 2019-20.
