Sky: Milan determined to sign a striker; stance on Chelsea man revealed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are beginning to scour the market for alternatives to Zlatan Ibrahimovic as they are determined to sign a striker, a report claims.

According to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan expected a quick response from Ibrahimovic as they wishes to get him involved with the group and training at Milanello as soon as possible.

The Rossoneri made their best possible offer: €3m until June and €6m for next year, but Napoli and Everton continue to lurk in the background, however Naples seems like an unlikely destination at present. Retirement is also possible.

Baiocchini adds though that Milan are still of the opinion that they need another striker regardless of Ibrahimovic’s response as they have scored too few goals from the centre-forward positive.

Olivier Giroud was discussed by the leadership but he is a different player to the Swede, so they are therefore also thinking about other names, the report concludes.
