Sky: Milan eye Man Utd target if Ibrahimovic rejects move; two CB targets revealed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have spoken to Mario Mandzukic about the idea of joining if Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not arrive, a report claims.

We reported via our mercato expert on Tuesday evening that optimism from Milan regarding the signing of Ibrahimovic has grown to the extent that Zvonomir Boban hopes to unveil the striker on Sunday before the game against Sassuolo.

However, journalist Carlo Pellegatti claimed earlier on Wednesday that Rossoneri chiefs are ‘disappointed’ by Ibrahimovic’s attitude regarding a return to the club.

According to the latest reports from Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan are still awaiting a reply from the Swede regarding his decision.

In the background, Milan have spoken with Mandzukic about the potential of joining the club, with Paolo Maldini, Zvonomir Boban and co. determined to add an experienced striker.

According to Calciomercato though, Manchester United have already agreed personal terms with Mandzukic. They recently reported that the 33-year-old is poised to sign an 18-month deal worth around £80,000 a week with the Red Devils.

The Diavolo also like Juve’s Merih Demiral, who is one of the targets to reinforce the defensive department along with Jean-Clair Todibo of Barcelona.
