Sky: Milan fully focused on Zirkzee deal despite complications

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are still entirely focused on making sure that Joshua Zirkzee is their new striker despite their being some complications with the deal.

As reported by Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoneri are not seriously looking at any other striker targets right now as they are convinced that Zirkzee is the right option to replace Olivier Giroud.

Bologna have being doing all that they can to try and keep Zirkzee for another season but that is not putting Milan off, as they believe the player is ready to make the move.

The fact that Bologna are also in the Champions League next season means that they have more pulling power than normal, but Milan’s main concern is the agent’s fees that are being requested.

Kia Joorabchian is asking for €15m from Milan, which the club has deemed far too high given they would only be paying €40m for the player himself.

Discussions have been ongoing to see if that request can be lowered, and it is believed that Milan do not want to pay any more than €10m in commissions.

The fact that Zirkzee is not at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands offers more hope of getting the deal wrapped up quickly.

  1. “The fact that Zirkzee is not at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands offers more hope of getting the deal wrapped up quickly.”

More and more BS stories? How is he not at euros and this website even made an article themself about Netherlands calling up zirkzee

    1. I click the link to sky and there’s no mention about Zirkzee not being called there, in fact the article is so short many of the narrative must come from Burns.

That means either Euan Burns is either just lazy and copy paste past article narrative or he is not update on the current situation of Zirkzee and Netherland NT. Either are bad trait to have as a ‘supposed’ reporter/ someone that works in news website like this.

  2. Pls @all is there any other website that focus only on Milan, if any pls share and I hope Milan should have a good mecarto this summer, Forza Milan.

  3. I suggest that Milan spend the 55 million to get him. This is a player and deal that they have been working on since the end of last year. That is because they believe that he is the right sriker for this Milan, which means he will gaurantee us goals.
I beleive we should spend big this summer to complete the team, sell the unwated palyers and renew Theo and Maignan’s contracts. If we do this, we won’t have to spend so much in the upcoming mercato for at least 2 years. We have a good foundation of players to build on, a healthy and a healthy bank account.

  4. LOL. What “complications”?

It’s pretty simple. He costs 55M. He wants come come and he agreed to terms and Bologna have to sell if release clause (which is low at 40M for a starting striker) is met.

The only complications are the ones we self-impose because we are cheap and always have an excuse to not spend over 20-25M on any player. Wages, commissions, transfer fees, resale value, age, etc…take your pick. We will always find an excuse, always look for a discount, always go after a bargain and search for players who are cheap but carry risk. This is Moneyball and the Redbird way.

    Don’t get your hopes up.
