Sky: Milan have no plans to sign another striker to replace Hertha-bound Piatek

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not looking to replace striker Krzysztof Piatek between now and the end of the transfer window, a report claims.

Despite strong links with a move to both Chelsea and Spurs, it is Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin who have won the race to sign Piatek.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the German club arrived today in Italy to meet the Rossoneri leadership and present a new bid of €27million plus bonuses.

The negotiation proceeded swiftly and that now seems to have almost reached the white smoke, with Hertha having beaten fierce competition from the Premier League.

According to Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Milan are unlikely to sign another striker to replace Piatek between now and Friday’s 8pm (CET) deadline.

Instead, the Diavolo will proceed for the rest of the season with a front two of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao, plus the potential for Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo to be used as rotation options.
