Sky: Milan hold first round of talks over star FC Midtjylland forward

AC Milan have begun talks with FC Midtjylland over their right winger Gustav Isaksen who is an alternative target, according to a report.

According to Sky, Milan held their first round of talks with Midtjylland over Isaksen yesterday as they begin to explore a potential move for the Dane. It was a simple request for information, as per the report.

The 22-year-old could be an investment for the right side should Samuel Chukwueze not arrive, given that there seems to have been a bit of a slowdown in things between Milan and Villarreal on that front.

Isaksen has primarily played as a right winger during his time with the Danish side, scoring 23 goals and adding 14 assists in 63 appearances across all competitions, but he also has a good record as a false nine as well.

Last season, Isaksen racked up 22 goals and 9 assists in 45 games including 3 goals and 2 assists in 8 Europa League matches. He scored home and away against Lazio as Maurizio Sarri’s side really struggled to deal with him.

    1. I‘d prefer a better winger instead of him (or Kamada if necessary).
In general he seems more interesting as someone to mold into a modern striker rather than a winger.

  1. I really don’t know Milan management are wasting time in selling the likes of Origi,Ballo toure, Junior Messias,Ante Rebic and Florenzi in order to use the proceeds and fund the potential and more effective players

  2. He is not that good and compared the league that he is coming from, we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

    1. Funny how you guys really say this based on league… just because he isn’t playing in top 5 European leagues doesn’t mean he isn’t good… this was the same thing we said about Kvara because he was playing in a dead league… if he’s good let’s sign him even gives us more options to sign other players due to NON EU.

      1. A player who has made it in a top 4 league has a big and a player who has made it in a top 6 league a smaller plus on his CV and his stats have more relevance for Serie A.
It doesn’t guarantee anything but it is one of the better risk reducing markers and players from small leagues therefore must be priced cheaper, however we shouldn’t exclude them.

  3. Okay, take him, then bring Kamada in. It will be very good signing. Let CDK, Messias, Origi, and Rebic out, to buy a strong central forward.
