Sky: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Inter – Ballo-Toure gets the nod but no Brahim Diaz

By Oliver Fisher -

As the countdown to the Milan derby on Sunday night continues, some team news has emerged from Sky on what the two line-ups could look like.

The source have published the two probable starting XIs for the game at San Siro which pits the second and third-placed teams in the table against each other. Milan should field Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal, with a back four of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Fode Ballo-Toure predicted.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie are expected to be the double pivot in front of the back four with Alexis Saelemaekers, Rade Krunic Diaz and Rafael Leao the attacking trident behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The news being that Brahim Diaz is not at 100% condition and should make way.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Tomori, Kjaer, Ballo Touré; Kessié, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao; Ibrahimovic.

Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): probable formation: Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.

  1. I don’t think Diaz is injured. Pioli is just in love with Krunic for some reason, even though he offers nothing as an attacking midfielder.

  2. Please let’s Krunic some credit. The guy has been a lot more useful to us lately considering his role as an Utility player. He is not a fantastic player but very useful. Am beginning to like him as a player though.

    1. I’m tired of hearing about “workrate” or “useful” players. Same with Saelemaekers, hasn’t scored a goal in last 40 games and has one assist this season. Not good enough if you want to compete with the best teams.

  3. Yep, give Krunic some credit.

I don’t think that report as accurate since Diaz is being called to the Spain National Team but he can’t play in the derby prior to that?
