Sky: Milan express interest in €25m midfielder targeted by Chelsea and Liverpool

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are keen on future-proofing the centre-midfield position, seeing as Rade Krunic could leave the club. Corinthians youngster Gabriel Moscardo is on their radar but the competition is fierce, a report claims.

Krunic has been linked with an exit in recent days and with Ismael Bennacer back from injury soon, Milan could let the Bosnian leave. The money collected from his sale would have to be used on a new defensive midfielder and there are already a few targets.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by Gianluca Di Marzio, Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo has ended up in the sights of Milan director Geoffrey Moncada. However, the 18-year-old has a price tag of €25m, while the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring him as well.

The Rossoneri’s interest is real and concrete, but the fierce competition and the high price tag could force them to look elsewhere. Should Fenerbahce decide to accelerate their pursuit of Krunic, then a lot more names will likely emerge for that position.

As mentioned, Bennacer should be back at Stefano Pioli’s disposal in mid-December and this will be a huge boost. Having said that, he will likely participate in the AFCON at the start of 2024 with Algeria.

  1. This is good news. If not, we can always set up a traffic cone in the center of the pitch as our regista instead of Spider Rico Krunic.

  2. I’m going to be parochial here.

Why spend this money on an 18 year old when you have 20-21 year old Casadei and Ndour essentially available (because they are in the depths of being squad players).

Ndour is from Brescia, isn’t he?
