Sky UK: Milan express interest in expiring Sheffield Wednesday midfielder

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are always on the lookout for mercato opportunities and with the summer approaching, there will be a couple of free agents available. One of them is Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

The 21-year-old Nigerian, who was born in Germany and thus has an EU passport, has ended up on Milan’s radar for the summer. According to Sky UK, as cited by YorkshireLive, the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on him.

Dele-Bashiru has made 20 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday this season, in the English third tier, and has found the back of the net four times. Certainly, the report comes as a bit of a surprise given the difference in quality between Serie A and League One.

Milan have numerous youngsters on their radar and for now, the link certainly isn’t concrete. Especially if you consider that the Rossoneri already have a decent amount of central midfielders in the squad at the moment.

  1. Ounahi is affordable but Milan is always looking for people who are not ready to play. I think the decision-making is a problem

  2. Are we still only going after players on a free or expiring deal??? What’s up Redbird. Scudetto defending champions deserve a bit more than that. Hope this isn’t true…
