Sky: Milan launch bid worth €20m for versatile Serie A defender but club want €5m more

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made their first offer for Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, according to a report from Sky.

Wesley Fofana’s transfer to Leicester was announced earlier yesterday evening, meaning the Rossoneri will look elsewhere after the youngster was their first choice. By the looks of it, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have shifted focus to Bologna.

According to Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini, Milan are now going all-in for Takehiro Tomiyasu. The 21-year-old has played as a right-back for the most part but can also do well in the middle.

Now, an update has arrived from another Sky journalist in Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanLive). He claims that Milan want to try and close the market with at least one signing following Paqueta’s sale to Lyon, and they have made an offer for Tomiyasu.

The bid on the table from the Rossoneri management is €15million plus bonuses, which would reach up to €20m. Bologna however want a guaranteed €25m.
