AC Milan face strong competition to sign Assan Ouedraogo from Schalke 04 with some Premier League teams also keen, a report claims.
Sky report that Liverpool are among several Premier League clubs closely monitoring the progress of Ouedraogo, the 17-year-old who has broken into the first team at Schalke as they look to get back into the top flight.
Everton and Brighton are also monitoring the Germany U17 international as per the report, but Bayern Munch and RB Leipzig are keen on the teenager and want to try and keep him in Germany.
Sky add that Milan have also begun inquiries about a move to Serie A for Ouedraogo, who would follow the path that Malick Thiaw took after he left Schalke for the Rossoneri.
Ouedraogo is still under a development contract and has an asking price of £10-15m (€11.5-17m) but he can sign a professional deal on May 9 2024 with Schalke when he turns 18.
Why are we even looking at this guy ??? Plenty of good midfielders in Italy we can go for and plenty of young home grown talent in our primavera. Seems a waste of resources to me, 10-15m ???!!! Surely better to use that money somewhere else, put it towards getting Ricci or Colpani or Baldanzi
He is a very good player, but 20M is too much in my opinion. We should look at someone else.
Teenage midfielder that won’t get a minute, they should better leave him and he should better not come.
I pity Romero.
