AC Milan can only sign a new defender if they first sell Lucas Paqueta, it is claimed, with a couple of targets mentioned.
Speaking to Campo Aperto, Sky journalist Luca Marchetti(via MilanNews) claimed that Milan will only be able to bring in a new central defender on a permanent basis if they were to first sell Lucas Paqueta.
That could allow them to sign the blow for a player like Kristoffer Ajer of Celtic. If Paqueta, on the other hand, is not sold, Milan will turn to a defender on loan like Matija Nastasic of Celtic.
Meanwhile, Sky journalist Manuele Baiocchini posted an update on Twitter claiming that a new meeting will be held on Thursday regarding Ajer, but the Norwegian international is not the first choice. He also adds that Nastasic is among the Milan targets, but the wording against suggests there are other targets ahead.
