Sky: Milan ready to make ‘important investments’ – latest on Man Utd, Real Madrid and Barcelona trio

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management are working on plugging some of the current gaps in the squad, with negotiations on multiple fronts ongoing.

Speaking to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), journalist Luca Marchetti took stock of the Milan mercato and discussed the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu exits, remarking that given the club’s firm stance on salaries it is expected that they can and will lose some players.

It is clear that Milan potentially had important assets in Donnarumma and Calhanoglu and today they no longer have them, and they did not receive a transfer fee for them. To replace them Milan will make ‘important investments’ and Mike Maignan has been the first.

Regarding Brahim Diaz, Milan have been working on the negotiation in conjunction with other operations and the feeling is positive. Paolo Maldini and co. are also talking with Diogo Dalot and Junior Firpo, but to date it seems Barcelona want to sell Firpo, while Milan want him on loan, so negotiations are on stand-by.

  1. They dont need investments for them, they will arrive on loan and wont be redeemed. Even when they have buyout option on players they dont wanna pay and try to negotiate (Tonali).

  2. I will believe it when I see it but so fat it has been disgraceful. Horrible business decisions. Everyone we like is deemed “excessive” by management? Excessive? 15-20m for a player is not excessive. Go Fkn sign: Adil, Kamara, Lokongo and Ikone for starters. Enough of this nickel and dime bullshit. We are gonna lose kessie, benacer and Theo of we don’t pay them a competitive salary. Wake the up Elliot!

  3. Seems to me that Elliot management think we are still in the 90’s when record breaking transfer figures were a few million euros
