Krzysztof Piatek has had a lot of interest in his services from England in the last weeks. Aston Villa have seemed the most keen, but after Tottenham confirmed a long-term injury for star-striker Harry Kane on Thursday, the saga took a new turn.
Piatek hasn’t been able to live up to last year’s success this season. So much so, that the Rossoneri management has made him available on the market in the January transfer window. The fact that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made his long-awaited return to the Rossoneri has also played a part in the decision.
A lot of interest has been generated, especially from England and Aston Villa, who reportedly put in a €30million offer for the Pole on Thursday which Milan are currently evaluating.
However, after Tottenham issued an update on Kane after the injury he sustained against Southampton on New Years Day, confirming their star striker’s absence until April at least, and they have stepped up their interest according to Sky Sports UK’s reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
Spurs are said to be interested in loaning Piatek, to what can be presumed to the summer when they have the England international back.
