Sky: Milan to submit new offer for Man Utd defender with Solskjaer happy to sanction sale

By Oliver Fisher -

Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot has ended up in the sights of Milan, who have had a first offer rejected and will formulate a new one in the coming days.

A report from Alessandro Jacobone of Sportitalia and Radio Rossonera on Tuesday night claimed that Milan have received an offer for Andrea Conti, and that is what has fuelled the serious interest in a new full-back – namely Dalot – which has since been confirmed by Sky.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s latest for Sky Italia (via MilanLive), Milan are not giving up on signing Dalot and the Rossoneri management will send a new offer to Manchester United probably by Friday.

The first offer – a loan with option to buy – was rejected by the Red Devils, but they are however willing to negotiate the sale of the Portuguese right-back. Roma are also on the trail of the former Porto star, but Milan seem more determined to secure the player at the moment.

Diogo Dalot is not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice and can leave Manchester, while Milan are keen to secure a new option for the right side of their defence, while it must be remembered Dalot can also play left-back if needed.
