AC Milan have chosen Uruguayan full-back Matias Vina as their number one target to replace Ricardo Rodriguez, a report claims.
After moves to both Fenerbahce and Napoli collapsed over the past week, it appeared as though Rodriguez – who has fallen behind Theo Hernandez in the pecking order this season – could be set to stay with the Rossoneri.
However, Calciomercato.com are reporting that contacts with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven intensified again on Wednesday and a deal could be closed on the basis of a €1million loan with obligation to buy set at €5m.
According to the latest from Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Rodriguez’s substitute should be Matias Vina of Uruguayan side Club Nacional de Football.
The operation is not yet closed, but there is a desire to bring the 22-year-old to San Siro before the window closes.
Juventus have also been linked with a move for Vina this month, as well as Atlético Madrid, Inter and Napoli.
