Sky: Milan working on dream defensive signing – West Ham, Leicester keen with €25m price set

AC Milan have not given up on signing Saint-Etienne defensive starlet Wesley Fofana before the window closes, according to a report.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of bolstering their defence given that Matteo Gabbia and Simon Kjaer are the only available options at the moment amid an injury crisis.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Milan have not abandoned the idea of signing Fofana from Saint-Etienne, who is considered the main target at present, especially if the Rossoneri manage to sell Lucas Paquetà to Lyon.

There is Premier League interest in Fofana especially from West Ham and Leicester, but Milan are continuing to work behind the scenes, with a €25m asking price set.

Another track is the one that leads to Schalke’s Matija Nastasic but for the Rossoneri evaluations are continuing, also because opportunities can arise in the last week of the transfer market like Chelsea’s Rudiger, who could come on loan.
