Sky: Milan’s probable XI for Juve clash – five changes from Genoa win

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Juventus this Sunday and due to a few absences, Stefano Pioli is set to make five changes to the starting XI. Antonio Mirante is one of them, ready to make his first-ever start for the club.

The likes of Mike Maignan, Marco Sportiello, Theo Hernandez and possibly even Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss out on the game. A blow for Pioli, but the manager has at least recovered Pierre Kalulu and Rade Krunic.

According to Sky Italia (via FMCR), five changes will be made to the XI, with Mirante replacing Maignan between the sticks. Alessandro Florenzi will be on the left in defence, with Davide Calabria reclaiming his spot from start.

The midfield will remain the same, as Rade Krunic isn’t ready to start yet, meaning Yacine Adli will keep his spot. The attack will be completely changed with Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao starting.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Mirante; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Florenzi; Musah, Adli, Reijnders: Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.

  1. Yes but we need Noah Okafor as our striker back we don’t need Loftus cheek to start musah should always be our starter now if benercer return Pioli can reverse to a 4-2-3-1 but we need pulisic to support benercer in that role then Romero or Colombo to support chukwueze in the wing but Pioli please bring Colombo Lorenzo to the first eleven or substitute I see this quality in him he has quality

    1. Kelechi are you on crack? Bennacer, chukeweze are injured. Columbo is on loan. Loftus cheek is still out but is definitely 1st choice starter when he is fit. Romero looks good but has only played like 9 minutes so far. I agree that okafor should start over giroud. Kinda glad chukeweze is injured. Would like to see romero get some more time now. But only against the smaller teams

  2. Why do people keep bringing up Colombo? The dude would still be here if he wasn’t so eager to get out of Milan. Doubt he’ll want to come back after his loan either – forget him. As for Pioli’s picks I’d have played Okafor up front and put Giroud in goal.

    1. He made the right choice.

At the age of 21 I would want to play as many games possible & constantly evolve, instead of rotting on the Milan’s bench, having a great possibility of ruining further career.

  3. Giroud is the man ..he is the man to lead the attack against juventus…with rafeol leao and pulisic alongside him ,,,Olivier should have a great chance of scoring yet again ..We can win this match .
We will win the scuddeto this season .
Just start believing…I have great faith in our team and our manager pioli .. We are doing rather well at the moment..
