Sky: Milan’s chances of signing talented forward dealt a big blow by Sampdoria’s firm stance

AC Milan are interested in signing Sampdoria winger Mikkel Damsgaard but seem very unlikely to land him, according to a report.

A number of different sources have reported that Milan want to sign Damsgaard as he is having a fantastic European Championships with Denmark after a promising first year in Serie A with Sampdoria. Considering he is only 20 years of age, there appears to be a lot of potential in the player.

However, journalist Luca Marchetti has spoken to Sky (via MN24) about the future of Damsgaard, who is generating a lot of discussion at the moment amid reports other teams are also interested in signing the forward.

The journalist is adamant that Damsgaard won’t leave Samp this summer. Milan like the player, but Sampdoria do not want to sell another young jewel and therefore they plan to hang onto him and help him grow in the next season.
