Sky: Milan’s predicted XI to face Atalanta – many but justified changes

Massimiliano Allegri is eyeing quite a lot of changes to the starting eleven for Milan-Atalanta, looking to switch things up after a tough period.

Milan could miss out on the Champions League for next season. If you had uttered that sentence a month or so ago, it would have sounded like madness, but a total collapse has resulted in the Rossoneri losing ground.

The gap is now just three points, meaning a win is desperately needed against Atalanta tomorrow. However, after the 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo, it’s clear that Allegri needs to change things up when it comes to the starting eleven.

Many changes expected

According to Sky Italia, the manager is set to make six (!) changes to the eleven. Normally, many would have complained about that being way too much rotation, but it’s not like it can get any worse in this situation.

Koni De Winter will replace the suspended Fikayo Tomori, while Davide Bartesaghi is back in top condition. In midfield, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Samuele Ricci both look set to get the chance, while the attack could consist of Santiago Gimenez and Christian Pulisic.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Loftus-Cheek, Ricci, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Gimenez.

Predicted bench: Terracciano, Pittarella, Odogu, Estupinan, Athekame, Jashari, Fofana, Leao, Nkunku, Füllkrug.

Injuries & suspensions: Modric, Tomori.
