Sky: Milan’s XI for Lecce – Biglia to start in 4-3-3; battle in key position

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to deploy a 4-3-3 formation against Lecce but still faces a couple of decisions regarding his starting XI, a report claims.

Pioli will take charge of his first game as the new Milan boss on Sunday at San Siro, with 50,000 expected to attend.

The Rossoneri are desperate to turn around their season having lost four of their opening seven games, a run which ultimately saw Marco Giampaolo sacked after just 111 days.

According to Sky Italia, Pioli is planning to use a 4-3-3 against Lecce this weekend, and seems to have everything decided apart from the front three.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will start between the sticks after missing out against Genoa through illness, while the back four will be Andrea Conti – in for the suspended Davide Calabria – Mateo Musacchio, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez.

Lucas Biglia will be the regista with Franck Kessie and Lucas Paqueta to his right and left respectively, while Suso, Krzysztof Piatek and Rafael Leao are tipped to start in the front three.

However, the report adds that Pioli is still deciding whether to play Rebic on the left wing, which would see one of Leao or Piatek dropped.
