Sky: Milan’s XI for trip to Roma – Conti set to keep starting spot; Piatek on bench

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is reportedly set to leave Davide Calabria and Krzysztof Piatek out of the starting XI for the game against Roma.

The Rossoneri make the trip to the Italian capital on Sunday night looking to win their fourth game of the season and begin an ascent up the Serie A table under their new boss.

There has been speculation that Pioli would make changes from the XI that faced Lecce for the game against the Giallorossi, with SportMediaset stating that he is set to start Piatek over Leao and Calabria – back from suspension – over Conti.

However, according to the latest from Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli is set to use the same starting 11 again in Rome.

That would therefore mean that Leao retains his place as the centre-foward despite Piatek’s goal against Lecce, and Conti would still start over Calabria despite a shaky performance.

LIKELY MILAN XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Paqueta, Biglia, Kessie; Suso, Leao, Calhanoglu.
