Sky: Musacchio could miss Atalanta game; Caldara and Gabbia tested in training

After the disappointing goalless draw against Sassuolo, AC Milan will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow, taking on Atalanta away from home. As the Christmas break is coming up, it would be good to finish on a strong note.

However, they could be forced to do without Mateo Musacchio. The Argentine was included in Stefano Pioli’s 23-man squad earlier today, but as Sky Italia reports (via MilanNews.it), he is struggling with an ankle injury.

This morning, per the report, he underwent tests at Milanello which went well, thus he was added to the squad list. However, he’s still not 100% and it remains to be seen if he will be present from the first minute tomorrow.

As a precaution, Pioli tested both Caldara and Gabbia alongside Romagnoli during today’s training session. Should the Argentine fail to make it, then the most likely replacement would be Caldara, who has recently recovered from a serious injury.
