Sandro Tonali has shaken off a muscle problem that kept him out of Newcastle United’s win over Brentford and he will start against AC Milan tomorrow night.
That is according to Sky (via MilanNews), who report that Tonali did the entire training session with his team-mates today and will therefore get the nod to start on the right side of the midfield three Eddie Howe will deploy.
In terms of other team news, Joelinton is out of the game which means that Elliot Anderson and Bruno Guimarães will be the duo that complete the three-man midfield.
Nick Pope will be in goal with Kieran Trippier at right-back, Fabian Schar and Sven Botman as the two centre-backs and then Dan Burn as the left-back.
The attacking trident should be composed of Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes as the right and left wingers either side of Alexander Isak.
Probable Newcastle XI (4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Tonali, Guimaraes, Anderson; Gordon, Isak, Barnes.

We will never recover our glory If we don’t consider our past heroes and experienced good coaches .
Thank you Pioli but you must go together with you Messi Krunic .
You’re right. We need an intelligent coach that have proven records against big teams. There is no way we can win champions league if we keep loosing against big teams.
I mean Milan needs top quality and affordable coach like De Zerbi
When you say WE, are you talking about Newcastle or Milan?
Because when was the last time Milan played vs ManCity, PSG, Bayern, Dortmund, let alone lose to then recently?
Also it has been a while since Juventus has beaten Milan in a game, at least 3 years.
Love Kaka, Ibra and Sheva but those should not be options for Milan coach anytime soon. Sheva was not good as a coach. Kaka and Zlatan never coached before.
Conte and Simeone HELL NO. They are coaching the most defensive football ever.
De Zerbi will have to fail massively and get fired to ever be affordable for any serie A club. Right now he is the hottest coaching name on the market and if he would become available a bunch of teams would wanna sign him who can pay him way more than Milan will.
Nahgelsman might be the only viable option of the ones you mentioned.
Oh just f$5king support the manager and the team and stop constantly looking over your shoulder for some replacement.
Do you know how you recover your glory?
By showing some loyalty and keeping a team together for more than 5 mins.
Otherwise we just become like Palermo under Zamparini.
