The players who were called up for international duty have begun returning to Milanello, and it is Strahinja Pavlovic and striker Luka Jovic who are the first back.
As Sky (via MilanNews) reports, the Serbian duo are the first internationals back in training after a break that saw them play two out of two games as starters, with a 0-0 draw against Spain being followed up by a 2-0 defeat against Denmark.
Pavlovic and Jovic trained this morning with the rest of the team and began preparing for the match against Venezia. For the striker in particular it will be important to show that he can be useful to the cause after a strange summer, but a glaring miss against Spain a few days ago didn’t help.
Jovic will be available on Saturday against the newly-promoted side but one week from today he will not be able to play against Liverpool in the Champions League since he has been left out of the UEFA squad list.
Meanwhile, MilanNews are reporting that Alvaro Morata and Malick Thiaw also carried out an individual training session today. The hope for the Spanish striker is to have him on the bench against Venezia so as to be able to use him fully from the Liverpool game onwards.
