Sky: Pellegri will return to Monaco as Milan fail to reach agreement over transfer

Pietro Pellegri joined AC Milan on an initial loan deal ahead of the season but with just 127 minutes in the bag, he’s expected to leave the Rossoneri. In fact, the negotiations with Monaco broke down, a report claims.

The striker has been far from successful since his arrival and the rumours of a loan move didn’t exactly come as a surprise. However, as it turns out, Milan have not been able to reach an agreement with Monaco over a permanent deal.

According to Sky Italia (via Daniele Longo), Pellegri will return to the French side early instead and then join Torino on loan for what has been rumoured to be 18 months. The player himself has pushed for the move.

Milan offered to sign the youngster for a fee of €3.5m plus bonuses, which is a lot less than what was first agreed on in the summer. Therefore, Monaco turned it down and that’s why he will return to the club.

The reporter added that the Rossoneri most likely will sign a ‘strong striker’ eventually, most likely next summer.
