AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will have a difficult decision to make regarding Christian Pulisic’s presence in the derby against Inter, a report claims.
We reported earlier in the week how there is a chance that Samuel Chukwueze could get his first start for Milan in the biggest game of all: the Derby della Madonnina that comes after the international break.
That is because the Nigeria international will play only once for his country over the break and that comes on 10 September, so he will return to Milanello quickly and in better shape, whereas Pulisic will be quite late back.
Now, Sky are reporting that Pioli’s concern is that after the break he will only have the USA international back for the final training session before the game against Inter.
He must then evaluate his condition after the double commitment with the American national team for potential fatigue and jet lag. If Pulisic is well, he will still play even after only one training session. If he doesn’t look 100%, the opportunity will present itself to Chukwueze.
