Sky: Pioli has no doubts as Bennacer and Rebic will start in Liverpool-Milan

By Isak Möller -

This morning, it was reported that two positions were up for grabs with regards to the starting XI for Liverpool-Milan. However, these two battles have now been decided, a report claims.

According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Ismael Bennacer will start in the midfield tandem alongside Franck Kessie. Sandro Tonali didn’t train yesterday and although he’s in the squad, he will be rested.

Furthermore, Ante Rebic will keep his spot up front as Olivier Giroud isn’t ready for 90 minutes just yet, having recovered from Covid-19 recently. In other words, there are no more doubts when it comes to Milan’s starting XI for tonight.

Hopefully, the Rossoneri will continue their good run of form and secure a good result in tonight’s clash. It won’t be easy, especially since it’s away from home, but they have shown that they can do well even against big teams before.

    1. Agree. Ride the hot hand or foot so to speak of Tonali and start the PL seasoned Giroud up front. But again you’re right that Pioli deserves to be trusted with his selections.
