AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli could make wholesale changes to the starting line-up for the game against Empoli and there have never been so many doubts regarding the team, a journalist has claimed.
Sky journalist Peppe Di Stefano gave an update regarding Milan’s team for tonight on Radio 24 (via MilanNews) and stated that there should be a ‘profound rotation’ compared to the eleven players who took the field from minute one against Napoli.
He states that until yesterday everyone was ‘convinced’ that Pioli would only remove Simon Kjaer and Brahim Diaz from the starting XI until the evening, when it became apparent that he intends to make ‘five chances’ compared to the game at the Maradona.
Brahim Diaz and Leao are ‘not doing well’ but it is nothing to worry about in view of the game against Napoli, while Olivier Giroud ‘needs to be put in a glass bell’ because Zlatan Ibrahimovic is absent and Divock Origi ‘is not in great condition’.
Di Stefano goes on to add that there have never been doubts before like this time, and Pioli ‘will decide at the last minute’.
