AC Milan will make the journey across to Bologna for their season opener at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, and Stefano Pioli still has a couple of selection doubts.
According to the latest from Sky, there does not seem to be any major dilemmas about the team Pioli will choose on Monday evening against the Rossoblu for their curtain raiser.
The only absentees will be the injured Ismael Bennacer, who is not expected back for a few months, and Yunus Musah whose red card suspension from his last game with Valencia carries over.
In defence, Pierre Kalulu seems to have a clear advantage over Davide Calabria to start at right-back, given the latter is making his way back after a muscle issues.
In attack Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are very sure they are in the starting line-up, but for the final spot there is a doubt about whether Christian Pulisic or Samuel Chukwueze will get the nod. The former Chelsea man is favoured at present.
can we play without striker ? or play leo, okafor, pulisic & chuk at the same time?
I honestly think the CF role is so outdated and playing a dynamic false 9 is much more powerful, specialy for us in current situation.
I would rather bench Giroud then choose between Pulisic and Chuk

What’s the matter with some of you .
Giroud is the perfect man to have as a centre forward,especially in the Italian leauge ,where the defences are so good .You need a man with big strong physical presence that can hold the ball up and bring the wide men into play ..not some fast lunatic that does not know ,or understand how to get behind defenders and create chances ..that’s what Olivier does .I have watched this man for so many years .
Technically he is brilliant in and around the 18 yard area ..Why is this man still choosing to play for his country,for the reasons I have said ..
We have got such a good squad at the moment with great pace around Olivier ,which he needs .
Just watch Girouds movements on the pitch ..

He’s 37 though, we still need an adequate alternative.
Once again Pioli is confused, Okafor should play as CF and Chukwueze should play on the right, Giroud and Pulisic are weak!!!
Not sure if my last comment took. I’d love to start with Leao-Noah-Puli up front and introduce Chu-Chu and Giroud late in the second half.
Pioli did mention that Noah isn’t 100% yet and Chu-Chu needs more time. Patience is a virtue.

Giroud is a trusted striker. The concern for me is how the defence holds against Bolonga’s attack. I could see Milan going down a goal early and then claw their way back. Pioli trusts Krunic, so I will too. Forza Milan.
