Sky: Plot twist in the Bertolacci saga

Andrea Bertolacci has been a man of wide media coverage this summer, as Genoa allegedly look to make his stay at Stadio Luigi Ferraris permanent.

But, according to Sky Italia’s reporter, Peppe Di Stefano, that’s a scenario that might not become reality after all – this due to coach Gattuso being very impressed with Bertolacci in training so far throughout pre-season.

Furthermore, Di Stefano reports that if this were to become the case, that Bertolacci stays at San Siro with the Rossoneri, he could also end up renewing his contract with Milan as his current contract expires after the upcoming season.

Bertolacci has just returned to Milan after being on a loan spell at Genoa last season, where he partook in 33 games.

Earlier this summer he has been linked with a return to Genoa, as club President, Enrico Preziosi has expressed his will to take him back on a permanent basis – and most recently a move to Everton has been rumoured. A move which allegedly would see Milan receive €6m in transfer fee and Bertolacci earning €5m per season.
