Sky: Probable Milan XI to face Atletico Madrid – Romagnoli, Bennacer and Rebic in

By Oliver Fisher -

It appears as though Stefano Pioli has his starting line-up fixed for tonight’s game against Atletico Madrid at San Siro, according to a report.

As reported by Peppe Di Stefano for Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli is expected to field Ismael Bennacer, Ante Rebic and Alessio Romagnoli from the first minute against the LaLiga champions.

That would mean that Sandro Tonali, Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer start the game on the bench. Of course tonight represents a huge game for the Rossoneri but on Sunday there is a big upcoming game against Atalanta, which forces the Rossoneri coach to rotate. Final decisions will be made this morning.

Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez seem to be certainties for the rearguard, while Franck Kessie should get the nod in midfield, with a trident of Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Leao behind the centre-forward.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Romagnoli, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Rebic.

      1. I disagree, Tonali needs to start the game. Saurez will score a goal from either Bennacer or Kessie’ s mistakes. if Tonali doesn’t start then it will mean we have lost the game b4 it even start . I can bet on that one.

        1. If he didn’t let Tonali play the 90min against Venezia and Spezia I would agree with you (bcs Tonalis is in great form) but Pioli chose to give rest to Kessie and Bennacer in these games, given that they are the obvious choice
