French striker Olivier Giroud is expected to recover from the flu in order to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Wednesday night, a report claims.
As has been reported by Sky Sport (via Milan News), the former Arsenal and Chelsea player should get his chance to return to London for a second time this season, having faced Chelsea in the group stages.
There were fears when he missed training on Monday that he may be out for the round of 16 second leg in which the Rossoneri are 1-0 ahead, but he trained normally on Tuesday morning and those fears seem to have been premature.
Sky do not have Brahim Diaz down as a starter though. He did return to training on Tuesday morning after struggling from a knee injury, but Rade Krunic appears to be in his place in Sky’s predicted lineup at this stage.
Probable Milan XI (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Messias, Tonali, Bennacer, Theo Hernandez; Krunic, Leao; Giroud.
Am I the only one that thinks Saelemaekers looks better as a WB than messias?
not the only one. i think so too
Well Alexis started as a RB. Therefore it make sense that he’s able to do it no problem
But what happen to pioli in that case, does him blind, Sealeman more defensive.
I’m comfortable with Krunic filling in for Diaz. At a minimum Krunic is reliable. If CDK were to play then the whole team will play more timid as they subconsciously worry about him.
Yes messias is overhauled, Saelemakers should start.
Also Kjaer must start, Thiaw is too young.
De Ketelaere must not play even from bench.
No way you pull Thiaw. He absolutely shut down Spurs in last leg. If it ain’t broke….
