Sky: Probable XI for Milan vs. Arsenal – Pobega in defence with Adli starting

By Euan Burns -

Stefano Pioli could use Tommaso Pobega at left back for the match against Arsenal in the Dubai Super Cup on Tuesday, a report claims.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are set to face the Premier League side in a friendly to build fitness ahead of the return of domestic football.

With many players either at the 2022 Qatar World Cup or recovering having recently been knocked out with their national team, Pioli has got limited options to choose from.

That means that some players are set to play in slightly unusual positions. It is expected that Ciprian Tatarusanu will play in goal for the Diavolo and the defence will be made up of Pierre Kalulu at right back, Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori in the middle, and then Pobega at left-back due to a lack of other options.

Sandro Tonali and Aster Vranckx will start in the midfield and then Alexis Saelemaekers, Yacine Adli, Ante Rebic and Divock Origi will be the attackers.
