Sky: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Lazio – four changes from Cagliari win

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make several changes from the starting line-up that beat Cagliari for the game against Lazio tomorrow.

According to Sky, Mike Maignan should replace Marco Sportiello in goal for the first change, with Davide Calabria down as the starting right-back over Alessandro Florenzi marking the second alteration.

The midfield should stay the same with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders either side of Yacine Adli, who continues to stand in for the injured Rade Krunic.

There should be two changes in the attacking department with Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao coming back in for Samuel Chukwueze and Noah Okafor. Christian Pulisic keeps his place but shifts from left to right.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Loftus-Cheek, Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.

Probable Lazio XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Casale, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Vecino, Rovella, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.

  1. I don’t understand the Calabria change, though. He should fight for his place, Florenzi has been solid so far. Still, don’t mind either way. Pretty sure he will start Musah over Adli, he will either play Reijnders as a 6 or Musah.

    1. I know. Florenzi has earned that spot with his play. If he becomes a liability defensively , then you can bench him, but so far no problems with him defensively. Calabria on the other hand…

      1. We have to manage Florenzi’s minutes. He has is injury prone and cannot play as often as we like. I’d rather rotate and give them both minutes to keep them in form for the rest of the season.
