Sky: Rapid Covid tests come back negative as Milan await molecular results

Most of the AC Milan players returned to Milanello earlier today as the Christmas break has come to an end. Fortunately, it seems none of the players have managed to pick up Covid-19 while on vacation.

The Rossoneri will face Roma on January 6 and they need to get into shape for the big clash. Training resumed today, therefore, and Davide Calabria was back on the pitch after a long absence (read full injury report here).

According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, rapid Covid-19 tests were carried out before the training session and all of the players tested negative. They also tested with molecular swabs, the results of which should come back tonight or tomorrow morning.

Several Serie A teams have announced Covid-19 cases within their respective squad and it would be a boost for Milan to have none. They already have enough injuries to worry about as it is.
