Sky: Red Bull demanding huge compensation fee to let Rangnick join Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will have to pay a substantial fee to free Ralf Rangnick from his contract at Red Bull in order to allow him to join, a report claims.

It is no secret now that the Rossoneri look set to move in a new direction this summer, with virtually all major sources in agreement that Rangnick will arrive under the double role of head coach and technical director, something unprecedented in Italian football.

According to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio though, the new era for the Rossoneri can only begin when the German frees himself from his contract with Red Bull.

The latest information states that Red Bull will claim compensation for a figure between €7-8million as an initial request. Therefore, in order for him to sign with Milan, an agreement with the club will have to be found, since it now seems that his exit from Red Bull will not be a mutual termination as expected.
