Sky: Roma dealt double blow in defence ahead of trip to face Milan on Monday

By Oliver Fisher -

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is likely to have a selection headache in defence ahead of Monday night’s game against Milan, a report claims.

The Rossoneri will be looking to make it five wins from five to begin their Serie A campaign when they welcome the Giallorossi and nine from nine across all competitions, but they will have to do so without the injured duo of Ante Rebic and Hakan Calhanoglu.

However, Sky (via MilanNews) are reporting that Roma will have their own worries as defender Gianluca Mancini has tested positive for Coronavirus when he would have probably partnered Ibanez in a back four.

Not only that, but it seems that Chris Smalling will also miss the game. He will have a final check in training on Friday afternoon but there is no optimism about his recovery. The player has not played an official match for several weeks, and the capital club are being cautious with his recovery from a knee injury.
